WESTech, spol. s r.o. announces appointment of new CEO

The WESTech Group, whose companies and brands include iStores, SWISS, Logicworks, and PlayGoSmart, is pleased to announce the appointment of Martin Strigač as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective as of January 2025. Martin succeeds Matej Sršeň, the company’s former CEO and founder.
Over the past 25 years, the WESTech Group has grown into one of the largest distributors and retailers of more than 100 world-renowned technology products, expanding its operations from Slovakia to the Czech Republic and Hungary. WESTech, spol. s r.o. is the region’s largest premium Apple retailer, offering not only iStores retail outlets, but also corporate customer services, while supporting other resellers and system integrators in selling and implementing the Apple ecosystem. Martin brings WESTech extensive experience in international management, product development, and the sale of successful technological products and services.

Throughout his career, Martin Strigač has held a raft of positions both in Slovakia and abroad, starting as a programmer, progressing to project manager, and eventually reaching senior management. He holds multiple globally recognised managerial and professional certifications. Before joining WESTech, Martin served as Vice President of Enterprise Solutions at Sygic as of 2015, where he was responsible for corporate solutions.
In January 2018, he was appointed CEO, and later became Board Chairman. In 2021, Sygic, alongside the Eurowag Group, was listed on the London Stock Exchange with the vision of “Uberising” the freight transport industry. From 2023, Martin served in the Eurowag Group’s senior management as Chief Product Officer (CPO), and chaired the board of subsidiaries in Poland, Slovenia, and Slovakia.
It is an honour for me to take over the leadership of the WESTech Group from Matej, who has led the company from its inception, and I’m thrilled that he will continue to assist in building the group’s vision and strategy. My first major task is to gain a comprehensive overview of each company, its employees and processes, to truly understand the entire group and set the steps that need to be taken. I believe that the team and I can achieve our ambitious goals and bring even more high value added to our customers in the future.CEO
